I came across a great find this evening… Extreme Ezine is offering a free pdf version of the personal development classic by Dale Carnegie – How to Win Friends and Influence People.
This book is usually at the top of anyone’s list as a must read in the field personal development, communication, and relationship building. I remember that when I first heard about it, I was a bit turned off by the title – it sure seemed ultra manipulative. But just the opposite is true – Carnegie actually teaches us how to build real, solid relationships with others. If you haven’t read it yet, now’s your chance!

Hi Lyman, Thank you for spreading the word. That’s a good point because I remember being turned off by the title too. Now I’ve read it many times and it’s at the top of my recommended books to read. Thanks.
Thanks for putting it out there, Brian. I (and I’m sure many others) do appreciate it.

Thanks for demonstrating how reciprocity works.
A friend/former employer of mine, once put his arm around me & said: “Jeremy, when I was about your age, (26), a man I knew gave me a book and told me what I am about to tell you”. “You are an extremely talented young man but; you NEED to be BETTER, much, much better”. “Read it”…
This particular man had $250k (liquid), in his checking account. His house was at the top of a mountain & was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright . His car? A custom built, Rolls Royce— El Camino-like, pick-up truck…
Growing up, I attended public schools. In fourth grade; I was made to read, “Anne of Green Gables”???
That book made me fall asleep.
Mr. Carnegies book made me a better person…:)
Thank you for posting his ideas; for those of us who don’t think that now, nor shall we ever; know everything…:)
