In an attempt to 1.) give a little something more to those loyal readers who have helped to make this blog successful, 2.) increase exposure so that I can add value to the lives of even more people, and 3.) clean out my closets and know that at least some of my personal development “stuff” is going to good homes, I’ve decided to start running a personal development book giveaway.
I’ve got a lot of books… a lot. And I wondered if they could do more good going back into circulation than they can sitting on a shelf, or in a storage locker, or in a closet in my home. Many of them are now available in electronic format, so to hold onto something that that I’ve got multiple copies of just seems silly – especially if one of those copies might enhance someone else’s life.
So I give you – The Free Personal Development Book Giveaway.
Each week, for as long as supplies last, I’ll be giving away a copy of a personal development book from my library. A physical book, shipped via media mail at my own expense anywhere in the continental US. Yes, the book will be used, so it may not be in the greatest condition (dog eared pages, highlights/underlines, etc.)… but that just means that there will be a little extra positive energy attached to it!
This week’s book is…
And here’s how to get it –
Send the following tweet before 11:59 PM November 12 PST :
Please be sure the @lymanreed (that’s me on Twitter) and the http://bit.ly/4B1Nmo link is included – that’s how I’ll be able to track who has entered.
This Friday the 13th, I’ll pick a twitter user at random using the tool provided by Random.org – and will mail them my copy of the book.
So, in a nutshell -
1. Get your tweet (“RT @lymanreed – This week’s Free Personal Development Book Giveaway is now live – http://bit.ly/4B1Nmo – check it out and RT to win!“) in before 11:59 PM November 12 PST – timeanddate.com has excellent converters to figure out what that means in your neck of the woods. All times will be determined by the stamps on the tweets sent, and must be visible prior to me picking a winner.
2. Continental US only. Sorry, but I just can’t justify shipping worldwide at this point. Maybe in the future if this goes well.
I’ll contact the winner via Twitter to let them know they’ve won and to get their information.
Have at it.
[Thanks to Tim Brownson and Christine's Books for planting the seeds for this idea.]
Update 11/13 – and the winner is… losbeardos! Thanks to everyone who participated… the next giveaway will be announced soon.
